escalator never “temporarily stairs”

November 21st, 2008

New York Penn Station, gate 8 – sign on the escalator leading down to the train platform…

So don’t get stuck in that sucker, because we can’t stop it to get you out until… uhhh… well, until the escalator’s batteries die, I guess.

On another note, that plastic cover over the button itself – it flips upward. Which means the backwards printed lettering doesn’t all of the sudden become readable like the word “Ambulance” in your rear-view mirror. Instead, it just becomes backwards AND upside down.

    Amazing.

Also, gotta love the script typeface, because saying ‘Please’ is *fancy*.

    AND the irregular letter spacing.
